In our experience people who have moved into Ashford, Staines, Sunbury or Feltham over recent years have seen the transport systems and the ease of getting into central London as a huge appeal.
With Waterloo being less than half an hour away we thought it might be quite useful to let you know exactly what you could have on your doorstep if you move into one of these areas.

A district of Central London, and part of the Borough of Lambeth, Waterloo is so much more than just an ABBA song. Situated only one mile east of Charing Cross, Waterloo is part of a business improvement district that has seen a massive boost in the past few years.

Probably most well known for its train station, Waterloo is usually seen as a travel hub, but you will also find some great theatres, the London Eye, the OXO Tower and the BFI IMAX to name a few local attractions situated along the Thames.

Made up of three main areas, each with their own appeal, Waterloo is a large area with loads to offer. On the Southbank you will find loads of family friendly attractions such as the London Aquarium, the National Theatre, the Royal Festival Hall and the Tate Modern, whilst two minutes away from Waterloo Station, The Cut houses the world-famous Old Vic and Young Vic theatres. The creative and bohemian atmosphere of the theatre district continues onto the cultural hub of the Lower Marsh area where you will find small and independent shops, bars and restaurants, alongside a food market during the day.

A popular area for tourists and locals alike, Waterloo maintains a whole host of pubs and bars, but has less of a late-night club scene than areas such as Shoreditch or Leicester Square. More of a cultural hotspot than the majority of other London areas, everything you need is within walking distance, so you can leave the tube and the traffic behind.

Whether you want to take in the stunning vistas over the River Thames, or some culture at the Old Vic, Waterloo is the ideal location for those who love getting out there and having some fun. With plenty to do and great transport links to boot, Waterloo is the ideal location for both residents and visitors.
